Two Year Old Koi For Sale from Blue Ridge Fish Hatchery, Inc. on Vimeo.
Hi
I have a large koi I believe is about to give birth.
1 Any way to tell?
2 Will the other Koi, all large, eat the hatchlings?
3 I have one crappe in the pond, about 8″ in length. Will he be a problem in general? Eat the Koi hatchlings? Small baby turtles? I plan on removing him permanently in the future or should I do it ASAP?
4 I have 8 Koi in a converted swimming pool to a Koi/turtle pond with 8 Red eared sliders, all large, Mosquito fish and the one Crappe.Pond has Iris,Hyacinth and lilies. Pool is about 30′ by 15 wide and varies in depth from one foor to 4 feet or so.Water is areated but not filtered. Location is Sunland, Calif in hills outside LA Calif
5 Too many Turtles/Koi for a pond this size? Sludge build up is getting bad as in a major removal will be required soon.Any easy way to do this?
Thanks for any assistance!

Koi lay eggs. They do not give birth. The crappy will probably try to eat any small fish that you have in the pond. Beyond that I have no answers to your questions. Sorry.
